LOW DOSE TECHNOLOGY FOR PROFESSIONALS FOR PATIENTS INVESTORS MEDIA

Lower CT-dose with preserved Image Quality

Computed Tomography (CT) has revolutionized diagnostics within healthcare and because of its effectiveness there has been a steady increase of its use. CT examinations however expose the patients to a larger radiation dose than comparable conventional X-ray examinations.

Depending on examination type our software technology makes it possible to lower the radiation dose by as much as between 30-70 percent, with preserved image quality.

The product SharpView® CT is an adaptive non linear filter based on mathematical algorithms that resembles the human vision system. The software analyses each part of the picture and removes random noise. This makes it possible to get sharp pictures even at a low dosage. The image processing software is integrated in the hospital’s existing image flow between the CT and the Picture Archiving Communication System, PACS, and it is a complete DICOM compatible system.

A low radiation dose used to provide unsharp pictures. Now, however, several studies have confirmed that the reconstruction algorithm in SharpView® CT can provide sharp high quality images while using a low-dose CT protocol.
